About the Program

A Cooperative Game. Our spiritual theme this month is Interdependence. We probably all agree that Interdependence is im-portant. But does it actually mean? How does it operate in our daily lives? How do we get better at being Interdependent? As your Game Minister, I like to practice and learn with games. And Cooperative games are my absolute favorite type to play. The Cooperative Game we all play together is the most important game of all.

About the Speaker
Rev. Craig Schwalenberg is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister raised in the Midwest, transplanted to New York (near the source of the Susquehanna). After 15+ years serving as a parish minister and interim minister, he has started a new community ministry as Your Game Minister— sharing the fun and wisdom where spirituality and play cross paths. His ministry is one of connections, storytelling, hospitality, and games. Per is a supportive member of the Liberal Religious Educators Association and an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Society for Community Ministers. Rev. Craig is co-author of the RPG social justice curriculum, Building a Better World. Rev. Craig lives in central, upstate New York with wife, Cheryl De-Decker, their dog, Harmony, and two cats, Pearl and Jasper.

This month’s theme: Interdependence

Stay after the service for a Cooperative Game Gathering!

After the service and social hour, please join us for a fun exploration of cooperative games with Your game minister. Find a new favorite game or role play DND! Learn why Cooperative games have become so popular in the past decade. Practice the spirituality of Interdependence around a table with friends old and new. Rev. Craig Schwalenberg collects cooperative games for every age and delights in sharing them with new players. Arts and Crafts Night for April will be moved to Sunday to take advantage of this fun time after service. Pizza Provided!
